The system tray icon also allows you to uninstall Riot Vanguard by right-clicking on it, hovering over More and selecting Uninstall Vanguard. Players can use the icon to turn off the anti-cheat software, however, doing so will render you unable to play Valorant until you restart your PC. Riot Vanguard now also has an icon appearing in the system tray while it's running. If you're looking to uninstall Valorant's Vanguard anti-cheat software, you simply need to head to Control Panel -> Uninstall a program, then look for Riot Vanguard and click uninstall. Lucky players can still become eligible for the Valorant closed beta through Twitch drops, which also gives them the opportunity of seeing how well Vanguard does its job. There doesn't currently seem to be a separate download source for the Vanguard anti-cheat software, which means that, unless you already have access to the Valorant closed beta, you'll have to wait before installing it. From what we can tell, Riot's Vanguard anti-cheat software can only be downloaded as part of the process of installing Valorant on your machine.
